My Story

History:

I spent most of my adult life climbing the corporate ladder, relocating around the country and travelling the world. I landed in mid-Michigan in 2008 after long stretches in Seattle and Philadelphia and honestly didn’t like it much. After a long and successful career, I unplugged from Corporate America in 2013. I launched a small business consulting firm and began advocating for mid-Michigan vibrancy efforts. The Economic Development sub culture of Lansing impressed me and I began to search for opportunities to contribute more directly. I became the first Economic Development Director for Meridian Township in October 2017, where I have lived since arriving in Michigan. I enjoy connecting developers with land owners, learning about talent attraction and retention and building a place everyone can enjoy living in. My wife, two sons and I can be found exploring Michigan’s cool towns and locally owned shops and restaurants and spending time at our cottage north of Kalamazoo.

Today:

Mid-Michigan is making its move! I wear many hats in my efforts to help drive revitalization in the Lansing Region:

  • Economic Development Director for Meridian Township
  • Executive Coach for existing small business owners
  • Radio show/podcast for Michigan Reimagined
  • Co-host a several networking events: The Drinking Lunch, Meridian Area Business Association & Capital Commercial Connections.  Each with a membership of dynamic regional business owners.
